HARRISONBURG - One evening about 17 years ago, Dee Dee Sencindiver, a florist, was listening to her fiancé and friends talk about their jobs.
They answered emergency calls for the sheriff's office and had lots of good stories to tell over dinner. They helped police and rescue workers deal with fires, robberies, wrecks and lots of other excitement.
Sencindiver, on the other hand, arranged tulips for weddings.
