The American International Group has paid out $165 million in tax funds to its executives who brought about its debacle.
The stated reason for the $165 million in bonuses was that the wisdom of those receiving the bonuses was essential to get the company out of the mess which the recipients themselves created.
Now it comes to light that AIG made contributions totaling more than a million dollars to members of the Congress.
Who were the top recipients?
No 1: Sen. Chris Dodd, who received political contributions totaling $103,100.
No. 2: Candidate for President Barack Obama, who received contributions from AIG totaling $101,332.
