Sept. 11 Broadway Autumn Days
Main Street, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
More than 85 vendors, crafters and merchants will display their wares. Kids’ activities, including inflatables and balloons. Foods include locally roasted coffee, doughnuts, ham, ice cream and more. Area churches offer specialty foods.
Sept. 18 Bridgewater Home Auxiliary Fall Festival
Rockingham County Fairgrounds, 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Auction begins at 9:30 a.m. Specialty shops featuring baked goods, handicrafts, plants and garden items, ReRun Shoppe sale and Cottage gifts. Breakfast served from 7:30 a.m.-10 a.m. Lunch begins at 10 a.m.
Sept. 24-26 Hardy County Heritage Weekend
Music, jousting and banjo and fiddle contests are just a few of the activities offered at the annual Hardy County Heritage Weekend celebration. Living history performances feature weavers, blacksmiths, woodworkers, and a Civil War camp. More than 75 artisans will sell crafts at the historic Harper Barn on Va. 259 in Lost River and in Mathias.
